Mellodee (Indira Muzbulakova, October 9, 1987) is a self-taught artist from the Republic of Kazakhstan. She was born in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Outstanding artists of modern digital art inspired her to create her own distinctive works, but she was interested in art since childhood. Indira’s first prominent work was created during her university years, precisely in year 2005. It was a rich in details portrait of one of her friends. Indira’s aspiration to develop her own unique style leaded her to the amazing world of digital art. Many of her works were inspired by literary masterpieces such as J. R. R. Tolkien’s ‘Lord of the Rings’ or Astrid Lindgren’s ‘Pippi Longstocking’. Portraits hold a special place in her art. Such works as Perfect Rainbow or Soulmate are great examples of Indira’s portrait style. It’s worth mentioning that Indira can equally perform portraits (No fun, No future) and landscapes (Lighthouse), also scenes from well-known fantasy world (Ori and The Blind Forest) and realistic depiction of daily life (Kids and alpaca).
Indira does not limit herself to one style or direction. Due to her broad interests, she is always curious to discover something new. Such works as Dawn and Uzumaki Naruto were influenced by anime and manga style. Indira is also interested in still-life paintings (Poppies, Still life).
